Region 15 Assistant Superintendent of Schools Kelly Lyman has advised Superintendent Regina Botsford that she is the sole finalist for the position of Superintendent of the Mansfield Public Schools and she expects to be appointed shortly.
Mrs. Lyman has served the Pomperaug Regional School District #15 as Assistant Superintendent since 2011.
During her four-year tenure in Region 15, Mrs. Lyman provided leadership in the implementation of full day Kindergarten, new state standards and testing, and teacher evaluation requirements. She was also responsible for the ongoing development of curricula and instructional programs as well as professional learning.
“Kelly Lyman will be missed in Region 15. Her work in curriculum, instruction, and assessment has touched all individuals in the District,” said Regina L. Botsford, Region 15 Superintendent of Schools. “Her contributions have been significant and they form a strong and enduring basis for continuous improvement in programs and services for our students.”
The search process will begin as soon as the Mansfield Board of Education formally approves Mrs. Lyman’s appointment. It is anticipated that Mrs. Lyman will continue to serve Region 15 schools through July.
