Principal’s Report (Mr. Salutari)
-
March Madness – March Madness was a
tremendous event enjoyed by the students, student body and parents. Plans are
being discussed for a possible softball game this Spring, similar to the
basketball program because it was such a huge success.
-
Reconfiguration – Schedules will be
distributed soon and changes for the next year include a reconfiguration of the
building, by team. This will allow student’s classrooms to be closer in
proximity, enabling less transition time and congestion in the hallways.
-
Graduation – Graduation date is
scheduled for June 16, 2008.
Vice Principal’s Report (Mr. Bluestein)
- Washington Trip – The Washington trip is May 6th through May 9th.
A power point
presentation for parents will be available. For the first time the
students will be visiting
a News Museum.
- Summer Reading – Two lists will be distributed for summer recommended
reading. One
will be available for incoming 6th graders, another for
existing students. The lists will
attempt to guide students and provide a diverse selection of literary
options. The goal is
for each students to read three books over the Summer, which do not
necessarily have to
be on the list.
